YSL beauty launch connected make up tools
Yve Saint Laurent Beauty is stepping up its home personalization offer by offering an ad hoc version of the Perso connected tool. At the end of the 2020 Consumer Electronic Show (CES), we presented Perso, a connected tool developed by the beautytech company Modiface, acquired by the L’Oréal group in 2018.
Surfing on ever higher expectations of personalization in terms of beauty, the innovation is based on a mobile application where a program based on artificial intelligence makes it possible to detect the needs of the skin according to contextual parameters such as the period of the day or the air quality. Via bluetooth, this diagnosis is transmitted to the Perso tool, a small object of about fifteen centimeters, which is then able to deliver, thanks to a system of pre-loaded doses, the most suitable products. In order to avoid waste, the size of the doses can be configured, also promoting test and learn.
Applicable to skin care, Perso is also available in the make-up segment, as evidenced by this first operation with Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, a brand from the Luxury division of L’Oréal.
Here, customers are invited to play with four color families – Reds, Oranges, Roses and Nudes – to develop shades of Velvet Cream Matte Finish lipstick that are as unique as they are tailor-made. Delivered with three color cartridges, the tool is also adorned with high-end YSL codes by wearing a matt black covering with logo and topped with an embossed leather cap.
Thanks to the dedicated application, the user can also benefit from advice, inspiration or even save their favorite shade combinations.
