Prada & Adidas showcase new collaboration

After a remarkable first capsule, the luxury house – Prada– and the equipment manufacturer – Adidas – are reiterating their partnership this season, First there was Prada For Adidas, a reinterpretation of the iconic Superstar trainer in the Italian label’s leather workshops

Place now at Adidas For Prada. For this second collaborative component that looks like a dialogue, the two brands present a new model, the “A + P Luna Rossa 21”. “A” for Adidas, “P” for Prada, of course, and “Luna Rossa” nod to the luxury house’s latest boat, the AC75 Luna Rossa. Originally designed to equip the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team at the America’s Cup, the shoe is now available as a lifestyle shoe.

“Innovation” and “sports performance” according to its designers who evoke a light and flexible sneaker. But also “durable”, as evidenced by the choice of PRIMEGREEN – made from recycled materials – to dress the upper, embellished with Expanded Thermoplastic PolyUrethane for the water-repellent side. Because here, the functionalities essentially echo the maritime world: enveloping protective sole for more stability, proximity of the eyelets to “avoid laces undone during competition”, waterproof transport bag …

The “A + P Luna Rossa 21” sneaker – available in white – will be launched on December 9 in Prada stores and Adidas flagships as well as in a selection of wholesale outlets and e-shops of both brands.
