Hello, I’m an Italian designer and owner of an atelier in Reggio Emilia.
After graduated from the Marangoni Institute in Milan, in 2001 I won the MaxMara Award in RMI and started to work as a designer for the Group. In 2007 I was one of the winners of Next Generation launched by Camera Nazionale della Moda and I showed my first collection during Milan Fashion Week FW08.
In 2010 I opened my atelier and I created Sacaporter, a project inspired by travel and transformation of modular garments. I’ve always worked as fashion consultant for several companies, some of them are Moorer and Paul & Shark.
In 2018 I launched “Francesca Marchisio” brand with the aim of transforming the functional into design and reversible models into timeless objects. All materials are expertly crafted in Italy. The collection is distributed in luxury boutiques and international department stores.
My mission is to match the emotion of fashion with the industrial design method to create authentic garments with low impact as possible. I’m engaged in sustainability matters and circular process by selecting raw materials, local suppliers and enhancing waste with my “Waste Couture” capsule.
