Why watch from the sidelines when you can be on the team making a real impact on the digital industry?WHAT YOU’LL DOAs Digital Account Manager & Planner at Digital Luxury Group (DLG), your goal will be to design, plan and coordinate the execution of unique digital marketing strategies in the fields of Social Media, E-commerce and Social CRM in China. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :Act as the key contact person for the client at DLG, providing daily, on-going relationship managementLead the definition of digital communication strategies to meet your client’s objectivesManage the project lifecycle, including but not limited to coordination of internal and external stakeholders, providing support during implementation and meeting project timelines, while constantly checking for quality assuranceLeadership in brainstorming and meetings, with the ability to communicate and present confidently as well as collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Participate in the review, selection and management of local partners, equipping DLG with a local network for ongoing and future success Provide support in the execution of strategic consulting and research projects to further develop the DLG businessWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for a solutions-oriented team player who will thrive in a fast paced environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESChina digital expertiseProficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)Report & Strategy managementUnderstanding of the luxury vertical is a plusQUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent2-3 years agency experience (or related field) Client management Account team management experience Cross-functional management: creative, IT, vendor… Experience in leading client development is a bonusCOMMUNICATIONFluency in Chinese Written and oral proficiency in EnglishYOUR TYPICAL DAY IN THE OFFICEIt’s 9:45am, you grab a soy latte from the Starbucks next to the office before stepping through the doors at 10am sharp. You greet your colleagues and sit down at your desk, launching WeChat @ Work on your laptop. While sipping your latte, you check your calendar and scroll through emails, settling in for the day.At 10:30am, one of your clients drops you a WeChat message, asking about the performance of their latest campaign and Weibo post. You pull up some data and figures about the campaign’s performance and give the client a quick call. The client is pleased with the results. You take the chance to ask about his recent holiday to the Maldives, and end the chat on a good note.Shortly before 11am, you touch base with the Creative team to get the full download about an ongoing project. The Creative team has a pretty heavy workload, but you need your WeChat and Weibo posts ready by this evening. As usual, deadlines are tight and you need to ensure everyone is sticking to schedule so that all deliverables go out on time. Once you have ascertained everyone is on the same page, you regroup with your Account Servicing team. Where necessary, you help your team members prioritise tasks and make sure that everything stays on track.At 11:55pm, you get a ping from the Operations Director. One of your clients is particularly demanding and the profitability of the project is at risk. You review the figures and schedule a meeting with the team in two days to work out a detailed action plan. Your objective is to ensure the project stays aligned with the initial scope, and that the delivery process is fully optimised to best serve the client. Finally, it’s 12:30pm – lunch time. You share a meal with a few colleagues in the WeWork common area. The conversation revolves around the best deals to snag on 11-11 and the latest celebrities updates. Following that, one of your colleagues suggests grabbing a milk tea from the store across the road. You oblige, while your other colleagues politely decline the invitation in favour of a power nap on one of the office’s many couches.It is just before 2pm, and it is now time for you to focus on your tasks for the day. You have a pitch to work on with the Client Development team. You are tasked with working on a proposal for an upcoming campaign, and this will take most of your attention for the day. You work on the deck till about 4:30pm, and make good progress despite a number of small interruptions along the way. These include requests from your team members, and the occasional client emergency – all part and parcel of the job. At 5pm, the Creative team informs you that the WeChat and Weibo assets are ready. Hooray! You check the posts meticulously before sending them to the client for approval. The client gives her go-ahead, and you push the posts live. Your day is finally winding down.It is the end of the day and the teams are starting to visibly relax. A few colleagues start a game of foosball in the office’s lounge area. Your teammates start trading jokes and talking about their dinner plans. Your day has been productive; you finish up your last few tasks and call it a day.
