After over one year of negotiation and a + 16 billions dollars offer to buy, french luxury goods group LVMH withdraws from deal. US jewellers sue while US government plans on rising taxes on french luxury goods import: wasnt all this predictable ?

What was doable 1 year ago is not of actuality anymore due to pandemic and current political “extreme tariffs situation”in the US, deterring any kind of investment. So i guess the deal is off the table now.

I guess business strategies now are more based on preservation, and not expansion.

LVMH confirmed and closed the deal with Tiffany’s, lets see how the luxury french group does it magic on his recent acquisitions…
