Fendi Haute Couture Show: 2021 and the return of physical parades? The Italian luxury house announces the first Haute-Couture show of its new artistic director.

On January 27, Kim Jones will unveil the FENDI Couture Spring / Summer 2021 collection. With this presentation planned at the Palais Brongniart – subject, despite everything, to the sanitary measures in force – the brand is therefore heading for Paris after a parade. canceled in 2020 and a presentation organized in Rome in the summer of 2019.

This will be FENDI’s first Couture collection under the leadership of Kim Jones. Arrived at the head of the Women’s collections last September, he had succeeded Karl Lagerfeld, in place at the label since 1965 and instigator of the Couture line in 2015. The appointment of the British designer had then created a surprise in the world of fashion, Kim Jones already holding the position of Creative Director of the DIOR Homme collections since March 2018.

There are no further details about the collection, except for the preview photo by Paolo Roversi that you can observe at the top. The choice also seems to accentuate the symbolic “passing of the baton” between the late Lagerfeld and Kim Jones – it was Karl Lagerfeld, during his ten-year tenure, who brought the brand to the top of the category.
